UKDN Waterflow has proactively produced large print, braille and audio versions of its Customer Care Policy in support of Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requirements. The decision to produce the alternative formats was agreed following an internal review, and forms part of UKDN Waterflow’s continuing Corporate Social Responsibility agenda.
The company, who provide water, wastewater, drainage and infrastructure service throughout the UK, are the largest supplier of household drains remediation to the insurance industry. The claims process often involves direct contact with members of the public as policyholders and homeowners, and the change reflects the company’s desire to ensure it provides the very best customer experience.
Gary Webb, UKDN Waterflow’s Group Head of Marketing commented: “We continually look for ways in which we can be an inclusive, forward thinking company. We’ve set the standard for best customer service across all the market sectors we serve, and this proactive stance with regard to the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) reinforces our aim to embrace responsibility for the company’s actions and encourage a positive impact through its activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public..”
The braille, large print and audio versions are available from the company’s Customer Service Centre.
