Our engineers are ready to attend any water or drainage emergency, round the clock. And we have the expertise, manpower and technology to provide a complete solution to your water or drain problems, including asset condition surveys, identifying defects, effecting repairs (using the most appropriate technique), and carrying out essential maintenance.

Education sector specialists

As a specialist in the industry, UKDN Waterflow has the resources to handle every type of drainage problem in any educational setting. From the smallest school to the largest multiple-campus university, from a blocked toilet or flooded kitchen to a full sewer renovation, surveys and CAD mapping, high-pressure jetting, you name it. If it is about drains, we do it.

Client-driven service

Our clients like the fact that we are happy to work around educational schedules wherever possible. Drain and sewer maintenance, for instance, which involves flushing out the wastewater system regularly to maximise flow rate and reduce the chance of debris and silt causing blockages, is managed outside school hours. Term times and holidays, noise, dust, parking and all aspects of health and safety are taken into consideration when planning any activity.

Examples of our work

Planned maintenance to clear a foul drain threatening to cause a real problem at a Surrey campus was successfully carried out during the weekend when there were fewer students on site, to the delight of the university and its FM company.

Asked to survey drainage after flooding in a school playground, our CCTV team worked outside school hours to ensure no disruption to the academic day. The cause of the blockage turned out to be a football, firmly stuck in a pipe. (add link to http://ukdnwaterflow.co.uk/case-studies/education/school-cctv-drainage-survey/)

At one large school experiencing foul water flooding during high rainfall asked UKDN Waterflow to help. An investigation revealed foul sewage connections into the surface water system, numerous fractures and two collapses. To minimise costs, we carried out a remedial package using a combination of CIPP lining and spot excavations. We now visit twice a year for routine maintenance and the school reports no further floods in the 12 months since the work was completed.
