Solihull-headquartered drainage repair company the UK Drainage Network has been named as one of the UK’s fastest growing companies by the Sunday Times.
The drainage repair company was placed at number 32 in the Sunday Times Deloitte Buyout Track 100, which ranks Britain’s top 100 private equity-backed companies with the fastest-growing profits over the last two years
After Lyceum Capital invested 55 per cent in the business in January 2010, UKDN – which is one the UK’s largest drainage contractors – has doubled its turnover to £50 million. The company has also significantly expanded its geographical coverage and invested considerably in new technology.
Following the acquisition of complementary businesses Drain Control and Waterflow in late 2011, UKDN has also developed its technical specialisms and expanded its offering to clients in sectors such as insurance, retail and rail. Employing over 550 directly employed operatives, the company’s growth is set to continue in 2012 with a number of deals in the pipeline.
Greg Beech, chief executive officer of UKDN said: “Our reputation for delivery and strong client relationships have enabled us to realise our ambitious growth strategy over the last two years. Recent acquisitions have strengthened our offering and market penetration, and we expect to see continued growth in 2012.”
