UKDN Waterflow (LG) — part of Lanes Group plc — has been awarded the coveted Principal Contractor Licence (PCL) by Network Rail.
The company, which has worked on Network Rail maintenance units as a tier one operator for more than 15 years, will now be eligible to manage larger investment projects.
The news coincides with the rail division’s move from Langley Business Park into new, purpose-built premises on Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire.
Lanes Group Commercial Director (Rail) Matthew Todd said the team was delighted with their achievement: “It represents a fantastic opportunity for the Lanes family, strengthening our position with Network Rail, both through UKDN Waterflow (LG) and across the Lanes Group.
“The investment made in obtaining a PCL is wholeheartedly endorsed by the group management team as the way forward and further bolsters an already formidable rail offering.”
Lanes Group Network Rail Manager, said: “We are now able to deliver total solutions, from surveying, scoping, planning and pricing, to implementation and hand over, whatever size the project.
“Holding a PCL demonstrates that Network Rail trusts our ability to deliver, in terms of our capabilities, quality assurance, and health and safety performance.”
